The Respiratory Protection Competent Person Training is a 4-hour course designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to manage and enforce respiratory protection programs, in compliance with OSHA Standard 1910.134. The training covers key components, including respirator selection procedures, fit testing protocols, and proper use during routine and emergency operations. Participants will also learn best practices for cleaning and maintenance, hazard recognition, and conducting effective respiratory hazard and respirator training. Additionally, the course provides guidance on evaluating and improving respiratory protection programs to ensure compliance and worker safety. This training prepares competent persons to oversee respiratory safety programs with confidence and authority.

CCS is partnering with the Environmental Management Institute at Ivy Tech to provide this training. Instructor will be Todd Clayton with EMI.
