How VR Can Revolutionize Your Safety Training
Presenter: Jeff White, Vision Three
Virtual Reality is the latest computer technology taking the marketplace by storm. VR uses special headsets to generate realistic images, sounds and other sensations that simulate a user’s physical presence in a virtual or imaginary environment. VR allows users to immerse themselves in the artificial world. You may have used VR in a video game, but what about the possibility of using it for safety training?
Join CCS for its first Safety Directors Forum of 2018 as Jeff White of Vision Three will demonstrate how virtual reality could allow you to train a worker in a hazardous environment without the risk. White will share insights into the development of VR and what it could potentially mean for the construction safety industry.
Discussion topics will include:
- Types of Virtual Reality
- Greater retention and engagement with VR
- Create hazards in real life environment without real life consequences
The CCS Safety Directors’ Forum is a great way to network and share ideas with your peers in the construction and facilities maintenance industry. You don’t have to be a safety director to attend. Everyone is welcome, so please join CCS at the CCS Office Conference Center, 8909 Purdue Rd., Suite 140 on January 24 at 8:00 a.m. for this FREE event.
