Confined Space Entry
Presenter: Bruce Guiliani
The August 22 Safety Directors Forum will be at The Center, 6320 Intech Way, Indianapolis 46278. The topic will be Confined Space Entry. The presenter will be Bruce Guiliani of The Heritage Group. Here is the description:
OSHA established new confined space entry guidelines for construction in 2015, but there is still some confusion as to what is required to be compliant. Join CCS for its August Safety Directors Forum where Bruce Guiliani of The Heritage Group will share a step-by-step explanation on how to set up and execute confined space entry per OSHA 1926.
Because confined spaces are potentially dangerous, employers must evaluate all confined spaces in which their employees work to determine whether hazards exist or whether the work to be done in the space can create hazards. The forum will cover how to determine if the area is considered a confined space and what training is necessary to be compliant with the OSHA guidelines.
The presentation will focus on:
- How do you determine if a confined space is permit-required?
- What precautions need to be taken?
- What do you need to do to rescue injured workers promptly and safely?
The CCS Safety Directors’ Forum is a great way to network and share ideas with your peers in the construction and facilities maintenance industry. You don’t have to be a safety director to attend. Everyone is welcome, so please join CCS on August 22 at The Center, 6320 Intech Way in Indianapolis for this FREE event.
