The Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Competent Person Refresher Training is a focused, 4-hour course designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to implement and oversee energy control procedures in accordance with Title 29 CFR Part 1910.147. This regulation mandates safe practices for the control of hazardous energy during servicing and maintenance of machinery and equipment. The course covers key topics, including the development of energy control programs, proper application of lockout/tagout devices, identification of hazardous energy sources, and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. By the end of the training, participants will be prepared to take on the role of a competent person, effectively protecting workers and reducing the risk of accidents caused by uncontrolled energy.

CCS is partnering with the Environmental Management Institute (EMI) at Ivy Tech to provide this training. Instructor will be Todd Clayton with EMI.
