The nation’s health protection agency, Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is responding to an outbreak of respiratory disease caused by a novel (new) coronavirus that was first detected in China and which has now been detected in more than 100 locations internationally, including in the United States. The virus has been named “SARS-CoV-2” and the disease it causes has been named “coronavirus disease 2019” (abbreviated “COVID-19”).

Since there is currently no vaccine to prevent COVID-19, it is very important to not only protect ourselves, but our communities and workplaces. Following some basic best practices and good hygiene, we can all take steps to prevent the spread of the illness.

The next “The 15” will be Thursday, March 26 at 1:00 p.m. EDT/10:00 a.m. PDT via GoToMeeting. Gary will discuss the COVID-19 pandemic. He will also discuss how to implement an emergency action plan within your company.
