CCS February Safety Directors Forum: CBD Oil, Marijuana and the Impact on Drug Testing

February 23, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am

Join CCS on February 23 from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. for our CCS Safety Directors forum on CBD Oil, Marijuana and the Impact on Drug Testing.

How does recreational use of Marijuana, and/or the use of CBD Oil Impact a CDL holder or employer of a commercial driver as well as employers with high safety sensitive functioning employees?

With 30+ states legalizing medical marijuana, 10+ states plus DC legalizing recreational use, marijuana-induced driving under the influence (DUI) is a growing safety concern. Indiana is now surrounded by states that have legalized the use of marijuana and Indiana passed approval for the sale of CBD oils and creams over two years ago. How does this impact employers of CDL holders and the driver themselves? What happens if a CDL holder tests positive, even if not under the influence at the time of testing? How does impact employers with high function safety sensitive employees?
