CCS/ASSP Central Indiana Chapter Safety Directors Forum – Best Practices for Involving Employees in Safety

CCS is excited to team up with the Central Indiana Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) for our virtual Safety Directors Forum on October 28 from 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.  Our topic will be “Best Practices for Involving Employees in Safety” and the format will include interactive discussions with several well-respected safety leaders in central Indiana.

The meeting will include a presentation conducted by Kevin Beswick (President of RMS Safety and Programs Chairman of ASSP) in which he will discuss the impact of employee involvement on safety programs and share some of the best practices he’s seen over his 20-year career.  The meeting will then transition to an interactive panel discussion facilitated by Marcy Watson (Executive Director of CCS).  The panelists who will participate in this discussion will include: Ben Ross (Pepper Construction), Charles Balser (Solid Platforms), Stacy Workman-Wyatt (Cummins), Jim Holt (Anvl), and Beth Gonzales (Indiana Department of Labor).

Attendees will hear best practices including:

  • Ideas for involving employees in work planning
  • Methods for engaging employees in safety inspections
  • Innovative ways to get employees to buy-in to the safety process
